San Joaquin Delta Baseball Coach Reed Peters has received the highest coaching honor being named as the Pacific Divisions National Coach of The Year. Peters led the Delta College Mustangs to the 2018 California State Chamionship and a #2 Perfect Game National Ranking. The Mustangs finished with an overall record of 43-9 and were among the top in the state in numerous categories including:

- RBI's: 437 (1st)
- On Base Percentage: .429 (1st)
- Batting Avg: .315 (6th)
- Doubles: 114 (2nd)
- Slugging %: .471 (3rd)
- Home runs: 43 (3rd)
- Stolen Bases: 110 (2nd)
- Fielding Percentage: .975 (2nd)
- Pitching Strikeouts: 448 (1st)
- ERA: 3.33 (7th)
