The Mustangs wasted a strong pitching effort from starter Kevin Kyle. Kyle threw six strong innings allowing just one unearned in run before leaving in a 1-1 game. The Mustangs' bats were held hitless for six innings before waking up in the seventh. After surrendering five runs in the top of the seventh, Delta responded with one in the bottom of the seventh and five in the bottom of the eighth to take  a 7-6 lead into the ninth. Unfortunately with two outs and a runner on first things would unravel. A bloop single to right and two errors would cost Delta two runs and a very disappointing home loss.

Delta's offense was led by third baseman Bubba Dentoni who was 2-4 with three rbi.

The Mustangs will travel to Mission College on Thursday for what should be a very competitive game. Mission holds a 9-1 record while Delta is 9-2.
