STOCKTON – The Delta College baseball team's old and reliable friend – the big inning – once again showed up right on time.

Tied early in the game, it broke it open with five runs in the fourth inning and four more in the seventh as Delta routed Los Medanos, 10-4 on Friday in the first game of the CCCAA Northern California Sectionals at Nick Cecchetti Field.

Delta can clinch with a victory at 10 a.m. today. The game has been moved up from an afternoon start to try to avoid bad weather.
