Delta College's men's basketball team had a much better showing this time against City College of San Francisco, but still couldn't get the win.
San Francisco beat the host Mustangs 87-74 on Saturday in the semifinals of the Delta Holiday Tournament. The Mustangs (7-4) will play Merritt at 2 p.m. today in the third-place game, while CCSF takes on Cabrillo at 4 p.m. in the championship contest.
Delta was trounced by the Rams 112-55 Dec. 1 in San Francisco. On Saturday the Mustangs tried to stay in the game, but couldn't get close than 12 points in the second half.
Nico Levitt had 15 points for Delta, and Cameron Pieters had 12.
Today's other games at Delta are Reedley versus Merced at 10 a.m., and Sierra against Butte at noon.
