Tony Troncale has been the Head Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams since 2008 at Delta college. In fact, he is the first and only coach for the Women’s golf program. Both teams have had a great amount of success advancing to the Northern California Regionals and State Championships. As a PGA Professional, the teams benefit from the guidance Tony provides from his extensive background in golf and over 35 years of teaching and coaching experience. Being a coach for the community college golf teams furthers Tony’s long-time career in golf and provides an opportunity for the players to work with a PGA Professional.

Tony received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Point Loma University in San Diego in 1984. Tony was a four-year letterman in both golf and basketball. After college Tony moved to Stockton and soon became an Assistant Golf Professional and in January 1989, Tony received the honor of becoming a Class "A" PGA Golf Professional.

As a PGA Professional, Tony must participate in the PGA Professional Development Program to maintain his Class A status. Tony attends Teacher/Player Development Programs regularly with such notable instructors as Hank Haney, David Ledbetter, Martin Hall, and Jim McLean. Troncale views continuing education imperative as a golf instructor to ensure he is providing up-to-date, state of the art, teaching techniques to his students. Tony has played in multiple professional golf tournaments and has given over 50,000 private golf lessons.

Coaching at the collegiate level is a natural progression for Tony who has been around sports his entire life and played several sports growing up. While in High School, he focused on Basketball and was voted a High School All American and later voted into his High School's Hall of Fame as he broke and still holds several school records. Tony’s introduction to golf came with his dad and friends playing golf and spending time at the driving range. This led him to playing four years of collegiate golf. Golf became his passion -- 40 years later Tony still loves to compete and practices his golf game every day.
