Off to a 1-2 start to the season and a week and a half off the Mustangs will play their first home game of the season on Wednesday with a 3:30 game against Modesto. This season's team will have a whole new look compared to last season as not only has the roster grown in size but 21 of the 24 players on their roster are freshmen. 

 

Opening up the season at the Nyquist Invitational the Mustangs won their final game of the three as they defeated Merced 16-11 with newcomer Jayson Chacon leading the way with four goals. Four other Mustangs scored multiple goals in the win as Jacob Herren and Guy Hein both had hat tricks while Jakee Chacon and Jesse Heidt added two goals each.

 

Ewan Rios was in goal and picked up his first win guarding the cage as he recorded seven saves against Merced.

 

After their home opener on Wednesday September 13th at 3:30 pm the Mustangs will host the William Anttila Tournament this weekend starting on Friday.
