Timely Hitting Secures a Win for the Lady Mustangs
Game1:  On a day where hits came at a premium, Freshman Sydney Perondi came off the bench with a clutch single to get the offense going in the top of the seventh.  Sophmore Riquel Riveira would follow with a bunt to put runners on 1st and 2nd.  After a fielder choice by Sohpmore Morgan Wheeler and runners remaining at 1st and 2nd, Freshman Mikaela Ferreira would continue her red hot start to the season with a double to left center to give Delta the 2-1 lead.  Giving her 3 hits on the day.  Freshman Nicole Ornelas would add another run with a squeeze bunt.  The Lady Mustangs were once again solid in the circle and on defense, giving up only one run on six hits.  They will face Cabrillo college for game two of the day.
 
Huge Second Inning Leads to 5th Consecutive Win for the Mustangs
 
Game 2:  After a quick first inning by both teams offensively, the Mustangs would do a little of everything in the top of the second to record nine runs.  It began with a walk by Sophmore Shayann Trent and then with a combination of hits, bunts, errors and hits batsman Delta would eventually plate nine.  Sophmore Delaney Pamplin would go on to record her third complete game shutout of the year in her fourth appearance.  Freshman Mikaela Ferreira, Sophmore Gabby Olivas and Sophmore Janelle Rodriguez all collected two hits of their own for the game.  The Lady Mustangs will be back in action Thursday against Reedley and Bakersfield at Reedley College.
