On the last regular season home game of the year, Delta's elder classman came up big on Sophomore day. Tawny Deerinck got it started in the first with a 2 run shot to left center. She would end the game 1-2 with 3 RBI's and 2 runs with 2 HBP. The Mustangs scored two more in the second stringing together a couple hits, a sac fly by Sophomore Morgan Wheeler and an RBI hit by pitch by Deerinck.
Ashley Duval would help get the scoring going again in the fourth with a solo shot to right center. She ended the day 2-3 with 2 runs and an RBI. Sophomore Delaney Pamplin went the distance in the circle, giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on ten hits. The win gives the Lady Mustangs 29 on the year. They are tied for first in the Big 8 with 3 games remaining. Delta is back in action this Saturday to face DVC.
