6th Season

Coach Eliza graduated from Diamond Ranch High School in 2007 helping her team win a CIF championship and earning All-League all four years and All-CIF honors her last two years. Eliza signed to Montana State out of high school, but had to red-shirt and in 2008, transferred to Mt. Sac where she started her college career. During her season, she helped lead her team to a state championship earning Team MVP, 1st Team-All Coast Conference, All-State 3rd team, and was placed on the Dean’s List earning an AA in Kinesiology and Wellness and a full ride scholarship to UOP.

At UOP, she was one of the top guards finishing her season with 93 assists, 50 steals, and was a force beyond the three-point arc. In conference play, Coach Eliza finished 3rd in scoring, lead the team in assists with 54 and chipped in 19 steals. Coach Eliza was named honorable mention in the All-Big West Conference and graduated with her bachelors in Sports Sciences. She transferred to Cal State San Bernardino to pursue her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and completed her playing career in 2013. She was the driving force behind the Coyote squad leading the team in scoring and scoring in double figures 19 times.

Coach Eliza started her coaching career taking over the Boy’s Varsity basketball program at Galt High School in 2013. She was able to turn around a struggling program and develop a competitive Galt boys basketball team. Eliza joined the Delta staff and brought the hard-working and winning attitude to the Mustangs’ program. Her dedication to the game and the women in the Delta basketball program have been a priority in her career over the past five years. She is an adjunct faculty member and basketball coach at San Joaquin Delta College. Her coaching duties have been increased since the end of the 2021-22 season. She is expected to lead up individual skills, assist in individual development, game preparation, and maintain our team strength and conditioning program. She is currently the co-owner of a workout gym called Fitness Works Lodi and is living in Stockton with her daughters Nyla (11) and Kalee Grace (10 months).
