14th Season

Assistant and lead statistician Lia McCoy begins her 14th season with Delta College. She was born and raised in Stockton, CA. Lia graduated from Amos Alonzo Stagg High School in 2008 and enrolled in San Joaquin Delta College as a student-athlete. She redshirted her first year then decided to pursue the path of coaching as a student-assistant on the coaching staff. Lia has been invaluable to the program heading up our team statistics at home and on the road for over a decade. She has assisted in annual sports camps, fundraising activities, and supervised community events that promote the Delta College basketball program. She has a positive outlook on life with a welcoming personality which makes young people drawn to her as a leader. Lia is currently attending California State University Sacramento where she is completing her bachelor’s degree in social work. She works for Stockton Unified School District as an after-school Program Facilitator. She currently resides in Stockton, CA.
