Delta Places Five at State Meet

Delta Places Five at State Meet

STOCKTON, CA - For the second season in a row, Fresno City outlasted all other colleges, as they amassed 184 team points to win the CCCAA State Wrestling Championship, which took place at San Joaquin Delta College. The state title by the Rams was their state record 15th CCCAA Team State Championship, marking the 10th year in a row they finished in at least the top three in the team scoring. The championship round saw six Fresno wrestlers appearing, with the team winning the first four weight classifications.

The four individual championships run Fresno City's career total to 79 individual champions. That number surpases second place Cerritos College, who now has 59 individual champions in their history after picking up one more this year.

The Rams Paul Keysaw was named the Coach of the Year for the second year in a row and 10th time in his career. He has won seven of them as the head coach at Fresno City and three while the head coach at Moorpark College.
