Delta Volleyball opened its 2023 season with victories over Hartnell College and Solano College. Delta defeated Hartnell  3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-11). The Mustangs were led by outside hitter and All-American, Kiyah Irby with 15 kills and 7 digs Libero.  Kyra Saiers led the defense with 19 digs,  Middle blocker Bella Cormack had 2 solo blocks and 5 block assists to anchor the middle.

In the second match of the day Delta defeated Solano 3-0 (25-18, 25-18; 25-23). The offense was led by Kiyah Irby with 11 kills and Middle blocker Soleil Sands with 6 kills in 6 attempts. The defense was led by Emily Vickers with 10 digs and Kyra Saiers with 14 digs. Bella Cormack and Soliel Sands led the blocking with a total of 9 blocks. Setter Caprisa Block totaled 44 assists on the day.

Delta returns to action at the Marcopulos gym on Wednesday August 30 with a match against De Anza College at noon and a second match against Taft at 5:30 pm.
