Nathan Varosh returned to Delta College Aquatics from his playing seasons 2000 and 2001 to now Heading up the revitalization of the Women's Aquatics Teams since 2012.  Coach Varosh is inspiring in his enthusiasm and passion for aquatics as well as his competitiveness.  Coach Varosh pays attention to detail and takes great pride in his program's success not only in the pool but academically.  Delta Women's Water Polo and Swimming teams have boasted more than 100 scholar athletes including 14 Academic All Americans since 2012.  Coach Varosh believes in Delta college and the countless academic and athletic opportunities it provides its students.

"Having walked in my student athletes shoes, I know the troubles and exciting things they face.  It gives me an insider point of view on making sure they choose the right classes and give themselves the best opportunity to move on academically and athletically.  I believe in the program and College and know the power it holds to help students.  We measure our success not only in the pool with wins and losses, but in the classroom when students are able to transfer to four year programs." 

Coach Varosh helped lead his 2001 Delta Men's team to the State Championship Tournament. After coaching at Tokay High School in Lodi for 6 seasons, three of them also as the Head Coach for the Central California Zone Olympic Development Program Team. 2012 was a big decision for Coach Varosh deciding to step up to the next level of coaching at Delta College.  Varosh has been a staple in the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Pipeline since 2007 serving in various positions including Development National Team Assistant Coach and Central California Zone Head Coach. 

Coach Continued his education after Delta College through CSU Stanislaus earning his BA in Liberal Studies and began his teaching profession in Special Education.  Coach Varosh earned his MA in Sport and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine and hopes to continue to build a Women's Aquatics  icon at Delta College over the years to come.
