Dickman leads Mustangs offensive explosion

Blake Dickman led a 21 hit attack with four hits including two doubles, a home run, and five rbi as the Mustangs won the series vs DVC with a 20-7 victory. Anthony Lucchetti and Thomas Greely collected three hits apiece while Dario Gomez, Jimmy McCleneghan and Vinny Bologna collected two each.

Tyler Condie earned the win by going five strong innings. After giving up two hits in the first inning, Condie did not allow another hit while striking out four on no walks. Noah Denoyer threw two innings allowing two runs on a Bill Ralston home run. Gunner Mayer threw a perfect eighth inning striking out all three hitters he faced. Clayton Westrope fell upon some hard luck in the ninth allowing three runs but striking out two.

With the Victory the Mustangs improve to 4-2 in the Big 8 and 15-4 overall while the Vikings fall to 1-5 in the Big 8 and 8-10 overall.

The Mustangs will play a non conference three game series with Cabrillo beginning on Tuesday at Delta at 2:30.
