Todd Herrington begins his 24th year as a Football Coach and Adjunct Faculty member at San Joaquin Delta College. He also serves as the Women’s Swim Coach at Delta College and has coached the swim team since 2009. Since 1996, Coach Herrington has coached every football position on the defensive side of the ball and was the Defensive Coordinator from 2001 to 2013 and ran a sophisticated zone pressure scheme.

Coach Herrington’s playing career began at Fullerton College in 1983 where he earned his AA Degree. As a two year starter at Linebacker for Fullerton College, his team won the national Championship in 1983 and accumulated a 20-1-1 record. His efforts landed him a scholarship at University of the Pacific where he played Linebacker from 1985 to 1987. Coach Herrington graduated from University of the Pacific in 1988 and earned his BA Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Coaching. He continued going to school at University of the Pacific and earned his MA Degree in Special Education. Coach Herrington is in his 32nd year as an Adapted PE Teacher for Lodi Unified School District. He lives with his wife Kari and have three beautiful daughters named Karly, Katelyne and Taitum. Coach Herrington’s philosophy is to take one day at a time and try to live by the words of the Great Coach John Wooden by “making every day a masterpiece!”
