CCCAA State Championships

At Monterey Park, the Delta College men's team moved up to 10th place with 95 points at the CCCAA State Championships at East Los Angeles College. The Mustangs' best performance was seventh place in the 800-yard freestyle relay, with Kole Gonzales, Sean Beutel, Josh Urtaga and Jay Halva finishing in 7 minutes, 8.11 seconds.

Halva was 10th in the 200 free (1:43.04), Gonzalez 11th in the 100 butterfly (51.97) and Wilkerson 13th in the 100 breaststroke (58.28). The Delta 200 medley relay team of Caleb Ortiz, Wilkerson, Gonzalez and Nick Kohler finished 10th (1:36.90), setting a school record. Diver Jose Espinoza was 14th in 1-meter diving with 124 points.

The Delta women are in 19th place with 40 points. Maddie Hulse was 10th in the 200 freestyle (1:58.02). Delta's 200 medley relay team of Kristi Johnson, Whitney Dore, Hannah Hayes and Hulse finished 16th (1:56.20), and the 800 freestyle relay team of Tawhnee Trew, Hulse, Shelby Stephens and Alex Offield was 11th (8:15.82).
