Arthur Jones joined as the hurdles coach with San Joaquin Delta College Track and Field Program in 2014.

Jones came to the Mustangs staff after successful stints at two local high school track and field programs.  Throughout his coaching career in Stockton, Jones has been the head coach or an assistant coach on four championship teams for men’s and women’s sprints and hurdles.

Before joining the Mustangs, Jones has been a critical element to the success of the Stockton Saints Youth track and field program over the last decade and has brought over 100 athletes to the National Junior Olympics. The list of accolades and accomplishments Jones’s athletes have earned at the youth and high school levels is staggering and continues to grow with each successful year.     

A native of Stockton, CA. Jones is a former Mustang and holds the school record in the 400 intermediate hurdles in 1996.  He is honored to be a part of San Joaquin Delta College track and field program and is looking forward to adding more success with the hurdlers.
