2021 CCCWVCA State Players of the Week 5

Southern California

Casey Widdoss, Palomar College

Middle Blocker/Opposite, 6-1 Freshman (Mission Vista HS, Oceanside)

Widdoss was a hit machine for Palomar in a 4-set win last week v. San Diego CC. She scored an impressive 35.5 points as she spiked 32 kills and hit .569 while adding 3 solo blocks and an assist. Casey is currently fourth in the state in kill percentage at .389. She opened the season by knocking down 11 kills in a flawless 16 attempts v. Copper Mountain.

Northern California

Savannah LeBarre, San Joaquin Delta College

Outside Hitter, 5-9 Freshman (East Union HS, Manteca)

LeBarre has set a dazzling pace as both a top hitter and defender at OH for Delta this season. She is one of just three players in the state averaging better than 4 kills and 4 digs per set. Last week, she scored 31 kills, hit .482, and made 25 digs in a 5-set win over Sacramento CC after a 15-kill, 16-dig, 3-ace performance in a sweep over Modesto. Savannah is second in the state in kills average at 4.45, tops in the North region, and fifth in hitting percentage (.384).
