Two five run innings paced the Mustangs in a road victory over Hancock College. Delta overcame a long bus ride and a very wet field to improve their record to 8-1. Vinny Bologna doubled and homered in the victory. Zack Mathis, Blake Dickman, and Makoa Copp all drove in a pair of runs. Clayton Westrope earned his second victory with five strong innings. After surrendering two runs in the first, Westrope settled in to strikeout five and walk just one. Robert Gasser threw two innnings and stuck out four. Zach McHone and Noah Denoyer each threw an inning in the victory as well.
Tomorrow's game at Hancock has been cancelled due to more rain. The Mustangs will make up a game by hosting Feather River College on Monday at 12:00.
