Cabrillo
Looking for a three game sweep, the Mustangs jumped on Cabrillo early then held on for a 8-5 victory. Delta's offense scored seven runs in the first three innings en route to the sweep of #8 ranked Cabrillo. Dillon Tatum delivered a two rbi single in the third inning and Vinny Bologna continued his hot hitting with an rbi triple and a solo home run. Jimmy McCleneghan and Anthony Lucchetti also drove in a run.
On the mound Delta used nine different pitchers with Clayton Westrope picking up the victory. Tyler Condie started the game and exited after the second inning with a 3-2 lead. Relievers Jakob Frederick, Jacob Standridge, Clayton Westrope, Gunner Mayer all threw scoreless innings and Joey Morris threw a scoreless ninth for his first save of the year.
The win improves Delta's overall record to 18-4 while the Seahawks fall to 13-8.
Delta will get back into Big 8 play on Tuesday at Sacramento City College at 2:30.
