In just his second start of the season, Noah Denoyer threw six solid innings to help Delta complete a three game sweep of American River. Denoyer threw five scoreless innings before tiring in the sixth. Inn all he threw six innings, allowing five hits, no walks while fanning six. Troy Wentworth and Jonathon Pierce threw the final three scoreless innings combining for five more strikeouts.

Vinny Bologna, Zack Mathis, Jimmy McCleneghan and Dario Gomez led a 14 hit Mustang attack. Bologna hit a majestic two run home run into a twenty mile an hour wind to put the Mustangs up 3-0. Mathis, McCleneghan and Gomez all had doubles with Gomez's driving in two to break the game open.

The win improves the Mustangs record to 28-6 and 14-4 in Big 8 play. The Beavers fall to 2-16 and 5-29 overall. Delta will travel to Cosumnes River on Tuesday to take on the Hawks at 2:30.
