The 2025 regular season came to a close with the Mustangs winning their final series against #5-ranked Sierra, taking two out of three games. D Squad finished the season with a 20-20 overall record and a 12-12 mark in Big 8 Conference play, securing 3rd place. Impressively, the young Mustangs defeated every Big 8 team at least once—a feat matched only by #1-ranked Santa Rosa.

Ranked #17, the Mustangs now head into the CCCAA Baseball Playoff Regionals, set to face #8 Chabot College. The teams split their regular season meetings—Mustangs won 16-5 at Chabot, while Chabot won 11-5 at Billy Hebert Field.
The best-of-three series begins Friday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at Chabot. Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m., with Game 3 (if necessary) set for approximately 3 p.m. the same day.
