Ricky Delgado Assistant pitching coach,
Ricky had scholarship to Fullerton out of high school but did not attend, instead he went and played his freshman year of college at DVC hoping to get drafted. In high school he was also an area code finalist for the 2011 team and played with several guys who today are in the major leagues. After his freshman year at dvc he decided to transfer to come play with delta in 2013-2014 season which he ended up sitting out of because of a knee injury which led to surgery. In the 2014-2015 season he returned to delta where he went 9-0 and was apart of the 3 headed monster staff that eventually broke the record for most consecutive wins at 29-0 before taking their first loss to the Stockton ports high a affiliate team. After Delta Ricky went on to play at the University of California Riverside for the next two years under major league closer Troy Percivill while pursuing his degree in communications. After school Ricky came back and was apart of the 2018-2019 coaching staff in which led the mustangs to yet again another final four appearance. Ricky now returns this year hoping to help lead the team along with his colleagues to yet another final four appearance and while at the same time his main goal is to develop and train to get his players to the next level.
