Head Assistant Coach , Brandon Masai 

  Brandon Masai joined the Delta coaching staff in 2015.  In 2014, Masai became an Adjunct Associate Professor in Delta’s H.S.S.E.K.A. department, where he teaches Kinesiology and Health Education classes.  Brandon also is an Assistant Professor and advisor for the Sport Pedagogy program in the University of the Pacific's Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences Department, also located in Stockton, CA.


  Prior to joining Delta’s family, at California State University, Chico, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology (2009), California teaching credential in Physical Education (2010), and Master of Arts Degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology (2012).  During his tenure at Chico, he was a member of the Chico State collegiate club soccer team for four years.  After his years playing he went on to coach the men’s club soccer team for one year and women’s club team for 3 years, having winning seasons each of those years.  After completing his coursework Brandon was hired as an instructor in Chico State’s Kinesiology department and taught various lecture and activity classes.

  Moving to his hometown, Stockton, CA in 2013 Brandon coached the University of Pacific’s women’s club soccer team and the Boy’s Junior Varsity soccer team at Tokay High School, his alma mater in Lodi, CA.

  Brandon’s passion is to help young athletes reach their academic and athletic potential and strives to move student-athletes to the next level of their professional lives.  In his spare time he also facilitates sport psychology consulting and workshops for individual athletes and groups.
