Mustangs catch fire in the first half with a 56-30 start. Delta shot 49% from the field and 89% from the free throw line. Sophomores led the Mustangs tonight: Sankia Braxton has a career-high double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Sophomore  Lauren Rabena and Trena Rathjen led all Mustangs with 6 Assists each. Rabena hit 7 three-pointers from behind the arc finishing with 21 points. In only her 2nd game of the season Paiton Demps scored 19 points in only 19 minutes. Mustangs (4-1) face Chabot College (6-1) for Round 2 at 3pm. The winner moves on to the Semi-finals Saturday.
