The Delta College women's basketball team met the end of the road Saturday in Ventura.
For what it's worth, and it's worth a lot, the trip down this road was an incredibly successful one for the Mustangs.
Delta nearly erased a double-digit deficit in the first quarter to get within one at halftime, but eventually fell 67-59 to Diablo Valley in the CCCAA State Championship semifinal game, held at Ventura College.
